Six apply for school board seat
Robert Gerheart and Robert Litz, both former Easton Area School Board members, and Monica L. Samayoa-Brown, wife of City Councilman Ken Brown, are three of the six people who applied for a temporary seat on the board.
Wednesday was the deadline for residents to apply for a vacant school board seat left by School Director Timothy Reilly.
Reilly, a 45-year-old Easton firefighter, is making his second tour of duty in Iraq as a staff sergeant with the New Jersey National Guard's 112th Fires Battalion in Morristown.
