State treasury robbbed during chaotic period after downfall of Confederacy
Hello fellow Texans and friends of Texas. Today is Saturday, June 11, 2011. On June 11, 1865, some 50 outlaws broke into the state treasury in Austin in one of the boldest crimes in Texas history.
