Investigators say a house fire that claimed the life of a 51-year-old woman Thursday in Richwood appears to have been accidental in nature.

One person died Thursday in a house fire in Richwood, authorities said. The fire on East Cranberry Street was reported shortly after noon, according to the Nicholas County Emergency Operations Center.
