Nobel Peace Prize: Richmond remembers
Three extraordinary women share the 2011 Nobel Peace Prize. On Friday, the committee announced the honor would go to Liberian President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf ; Liberian activist Leymah Gbowee , and Yemeni activist Tawakkul Karman .

Historical society meeting Sunday
The fall quarterly meeting of the Franklin County Historical Society is planned 2 p.m. Sunday at the Records and Research Center, 1124 W. Seventh St.
