As if one beetle battle weren't enough, word came out this week that another devastating invasive pest has been found east of the Hudson River.

On land that is now a city park at the eastern end of Delaware Avenue, adjacent to the Hudson River in Kingston, an amusement park that opened in 1896 once attracted thousands of visitors.

The National Park Service is offering a rare opportunity to lease and reside in the "Red House," an 1830's Roosevelt mansion at Home of Franklin D. Roosevelt National Historic Site in Hyde Park, New York.
