Suspect arrested in Malden bank robbery

I saw the helicopters swirling around yesterday afternoon when I was walking to catch the bus up in Linden Square, There was a police car parked at the Bank of America and two unmarked vehicles, one a black pick up truck, that pulled into the bank. Really bold to be robbing a bank during the daytime. But there is no crime wave in Malden.

I definately see more police in the area but they cannot be everywhere all the time. by the way there is no crime in Malden.

No problem here either. Thats why most of the entire Malden police force was at 557 Pleasant Street this morning (9/29/09)around 4:30 am. The police fired the shot. They missed at the boyfriend of one of the residents, his mother taken away in an ambulence and he arrested and taken out by the cops shortly after the police had screamed at him that if the guy didnt open the door, he would be taken down for real. The guy said dont shoot Im sending my mother out and then he opened the door to send out his mother. The cop shot anyway. WTF. What a scene. Are we supposed to believed that the police are just bored and were there because they had nothing better to do? That they showed up just for shits and grins? But there are no problems here. Its everyone on the 5th floor imagining it happened.

557 Pleasant used to be for elderly people. Now it is full of junkies and people faking disability. What a disgrace this place is

Squiggy, you talk talk as if you are a frequent visitor or resident of 557 Pleasant St. How do you know it's full of junkies and wannabe handicaps unless you possibly are one or the other. My grandmother used to live there before she passed, God bless her soul, and her only complaint was about the ELDERLY people and what kind of problems THEY caused. I remember visiting years ago and there were some NASTY old people with bad attitudes and a lust for being nasty. How do we know a cop didn't shoot some angry geriatric?

i do agree that the elderly at 557 pleasant st are an angry bunch. they are also very rude and trouble makers.

i agree with the assessment on some of the elderly there. some are troublemakers and invent things about people if they dont like your looks. i visit someone in the building and have witnessed it first hand. the old farts think they are gansta.
