George Dean Talley, 86, died Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2008, at his home in Reserve, N.M. He was born Nov. 6, 1922, in Bayard, Kan., to Clyde Oliver Talley and Eva May Worden.
George served in the United States Coast Guard from Dec. 1942 to Jan. 1946.
During World War II, he was a carpenter's mate in charge of all water integrity on the Taney and saw action in battle in the Pacific.
George was a fabulous man, wonderful husband, great father and a friend to many. He was a man of high integrity and loved by many. George was the owner of Wild Game Processing in Reserve.

Henry Aragon Baca, 67, of Reserve, N.M., entered eternal rest Monday, Nov. 24, 2008, at Gila Regional Medical Center in Silver City, N.M.
At the family's request, cremation has taken place under the direction of Baca's Silver City Crematory. A prayer vigil began at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2008, at the Santo Nino Catholic Church in Aragon, N.M., led by Father Jeff King.
A memorial mass began at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2008, at the same church.
Henry was born Sept. 10, 1941, in Cruzville, N.M., to Henry M. and Pablita (Aragon) Baca. He was a communicant of the Catholic Church.
