Five U.S. Postal Service offices in Clinton County are among more than 400 statewide that could see retail hours trimmed in an attempt to curb financial losses.

Cincinnati officials informed the office, located at 9 Larrick Road, that it will sell its last stamps during the last week of May or first week of June, said Postmaster Shirley Louderback.

About 30 people gathered at the United Church of Christ in Lees Creek to discuss what some deem the inevitable - the post office's closing.

Residents in Reesville and Lees Creek may soon find themselves traveling further to visit a post office, but at least they can speak up about it.
