A devastating flood in 2008 that killed three people and caused $763 million in damage also changed the landscape of many Wisconsin counties - and while the changes were hard to stomach for some, authorities say the state learned valuable lessons and will be ready for the next big rain event.

Catherine Andres brought in her winning ticket from the May 25 drawing to the Wisconsin Lottery's main office in Madison Wednesday.

The Wisconsin Broadcasters Association has named five state broadcasters to join its Hall of Fame in ceremonies to be held June 20.

For the fourth time in less than two weeks, one of the state's residents hit the $1 million winning Powerball ticket.
