What? It took time away from the donut shops?

Doubt that the flu shot people were expecting such.
RB police resourses were there, so going to take away
from the health folk?

What's Bill Workman's salary? Have him take 10% of it to "pay"
for the services.

Jay: The county was not prepared for the onslaught of vehicles. I was in that line for over three hours and ended up directed back into the main street of traffic, no flu shot for my husband that day (risk group) after waiting. The county ran the clinic, not the police department. If you have a complaint, know your facts first. Beach Cities was just the site, the county was providing the service. Bad planning all around - if they knew they had 4,000 doses on hand, they should have planned for 4,000 cars. Anything less than that, great. It was a mess, and the RBPD did have to call in lots of extra officers that they had not planned on having work there that day. They should be reimbursed by someone for the extra help that was needed at the last minute.

For God's sake, if the police aren't there for things like this without being paid, then what are they there for? The CM makes Redondo look like a third world country where you have to pay the police to do their job.

Next time I hope the County simply drops a case of flu shots off at the Torrance/Redondo city line and makes a call to the mayor to come and get them. He'll be easy to find, he's Supervisor Knabe's aide.

If this keeps up the RBPD, an otherwise fine force, will have to change their slogan from "To Protect and To Serve" to "To Protect and To Serve Except in Case of Emergency"

Bad move Workman.

Workman has to pretend there is no money because he and the City Council need proof of poverty in order to raise your property taxes in 2010...

Another stupid wasteful act by BCHD. They need to be SHUT DOWN. They were chartered as a hospital when we DIDN'T HAVE ANY. Now we have TWO. It's time to get out $80M in assets sold off and passed back to Hermosa, Manhattan and Redondo. Also, we get TAXED on our property taxes by BCHD. Let's end that. Last, they have $20M+ in our CASH on hand. Jesus Christ. Does no one have brain anymore? We're dying due to taxes.

Did they require Beach Cities residency? They SHOULD HAVE.

Daily Horoscope for December 29

Leo

It's hard to pin down a certain person today because they're being so vague and dithery. Ask them a question and they'll vacillate or be unable to give you a straight answer. You might suspect them of deceitful goings on but it's far more likely that they're simply in a world of their own and can't keep their mind on anything for long. Don't worry, they'll soon be back on planet earth.
