The fourth-ranked Red Bay Tigers found their season on the line against a pesky Phil Campbell defense in the first round of 2A, Area 12 play on Thursday night.

A Marion County man who confessed to sexually abusing two different girls nearly 20 years ago and a Red Bay man accused of trying to kill his live-in girlfriend in February of 2010 pleaded guilty before their cases were set to go to trial this past week, officials said.

A Red Bay man is in custody after a recent grand jury indicted him for his involvement in a November shooting death that occurred inside the city limits.

LA Mesa RV announced today that Bob Tiffin - founder of luxury motorhome manufacturer Tiffin Motorhomes - is scheduled to spend a week touring LA Mesa RV's Arizona dealerships where he'll be on hand to explain the benefits of motorhome ownership to potential RV owners.

At last Tuesday's meeting, members of the Red Bay City Council agreed to pass a resolution in favor of taking steps to make sure money from the county's severance tax is solely used by the Franklin County Development Authority for economic development in the area.
