A man and woman who were killed after their car crashed into trees in DeSoto County on Monday have been identified.

Sheriff Kenny Dickerson says the shooting occurred about 7:30 p.m. Monday in the Rabbit Ridge community northwest of Red Banks.

Two people remained in the Marshall County jail Saturday after they were arrested on an Amber Alert from Georgia.

Marshall County authorities arrested two people in relation to a Georgia kidnapping Friday morning after receiving an "Amber Alert" report about the suspects' vehicle.
