STAMFORD, Vt. - A massive fire early Saturday morning destroyed a warehouse building at Eagle Lumber Co.

Two Whitingham teenagers are facing felony charges of lewd and lascivious conduct and second degree unlawful restraint resulting from a November 9, 2011 incident involving a Readsboro youth.

The fourth annual Hoot, Toot and Whistle 5K Snowshoe Race and Hike is scheduled for Sunday, Feb.

The two volumes of Brian Donelson's "The Coming of the Train" focus not only on the Hoosac Tunnel & Wilmington and Deerfield River Railroads but also, as their subtitle says, on "the industries they served." These industries included logging, furniture making and box making.

The payments from FEMA are beginning to trickle in. Town clerk Amber Holland reported to the selectboard Wednesday that two payments in the amount of $6,663.54 and $1,256.59 have been received.
