Two men who robbed a Ravenna bank and caused the death of a Walker Police officer had used more than $100,000 in money pocketed from earlier bank heists to purchase jet skis and a Haulmark travel trailer, an FBI agent today told a federal judge.

A Chester Township woman is facing a Feb. 15 arraignment in 58th District Court in Hudsonville on two counts of trying to obtain a controlled substance by fraud.

The ribbed, rusted Quonset-style building had collapsed by noon and was still smoldering as of 12:20 p.m., with nothing left but hot twisted metal.

The fire is in the 2500 block of South Slocum Road near Ravenna in an old industrial building.

The fire was reported around 11 a.m. at 2530 S. Slocum, and Casnovia fire officials were heading that way, referring to the incident as a "working structure fire." Two tanker trucks - one from Ravenna and one from Moorland fire departments - were requested to come to the scene.
