Two new Disaster Recovery Centers have opened in Little Axe and Moore to assist residents recovering from wildfires that caused widespread damage in central Oklahoma April 9-12. The centers will be operated by the Oklahoma Department of Emergency Management , the Federal Emergency Management Agency and the U.S. Small Business Administration .

Two new Disaster Recovery Centers will open Monday, July 6 in Little Axe and Moore to assist residents recovering from wildfires that caused widespread damage in central Oklahoma April 9-12, 2009.

" In its first day of operation on Monday, the Federal Emergency Management Agency said they registered more than 25 people for federal aid at their Disaster Recovery Center in Ratliff City.

State officials say more than $941,000 in state and federal assistance has been approved for residents affected by destructive wildfires.

Help available for wildfire victims. Monday, June 29, 2009 State and federal emergency officials have opened four Disaster Recovery Centers across the state to help Oklahomans whose homes were destroyed or damaged as a result of wildfires April 9-12, 2009.
