While most would agree an unusually mild winter, and a general lack of snow is a good thing, but here in rapids city it's led to a unique and somewhat ironic problem.

Folks in one QCA town were devastated back in September when the only grocery store in town closed.

After discussion at both the Dell Rapids City Council's and Dell Rapids School District's biweekly meetings, the question of whether or not the district would build hammerheads at the ends of 12th and 14th streets has resulted in a yes from the council.

A candidate for Cedar Rapids City Council acknowledges that she pleaded guilty to theft of more than $10,000 in 2006.
