VVC professora s exhibit to open at Kelso Depot center
An exhibition of art by Anna-Marie Veloz, an adjunct professor of art at Victor Valley College, will open Saturday at the Kelso Depot Visitor Center on Kelbaker Road, 34 miles south of Interstate 15 at Baker.

Firefighters rescue victims trapped by flood waters in Randsburg
Firefighters responded to a report of a victim trapped inside a vehicle due to flash flooding caused by passing thunderstorms on Garlock Road in Randsburg around 6:30 p.m. Monday, July 22. Fire crews found two vehicles that had been caught by the rising flood waters, and proceeded to develop and implement a plan for rescuing the individuals.
