Thanks for reporting on this story. Again, an example of the good people we have working and living in Torrance.

We need more of these stories - run one every day!- to remind us there is still humanity among us.

Was it really necessary to include "and blacks" from this man's quote? In this day and age, with everyone worrying about saying the right thing, so not to offend anyone, I think this should not have been printed. Why stir up any possible bad feelings that someone might have after reading that? It was completely senseless.

One more PC person that hides from reality. There are people that are Black", "Brown" "White" etc. The man was simply acknowledging that good people from all walks of life helped him like we all should do. BTW I for one do not worry about "saying the right thing", simply because those that are so thin skinned as to be offended by innocent remarks should not leave the safety of their homes.

Luckily it happened in Torrance...if this happened in lawndale or hawthorne 96% of the money would have never been returned and recycled into the drug/gang scene.

So you think they should edit what the man actually said to make it PC so as not to offend certain people? That's a load of horse manure.

Luckily it happened in Torrance AFTER the METH tweekers were cleared out...or it too would have been recycled into the drug/gang scene.

Yes, that what he/she means...luckily the TPD chased them out into lawndale/hawthorne.

I love a story with a happy ending... I wish our local news/newspapers would share more of them.

People need to be reminded of the good people in the world :)

I'm Ludwig's wife and I want to thank all the people who helped my husband yesterday. We are both very grateful for the kindness of complete strangers who stopped what they were doing to pick up the money that was whooshed away in the wind. THANKS A LOT!!!

Should have said that the money was for something in particular & is now gone, so they won't get robbed at home!
