Redding Cops Raise $700 for Special Olympics
The Redding Police Department's first Tip a Cop program -where members of police departments act as waiters, serving customers and collecting tips to be donated to the Special Olympics-was a success, according to Police Chief Douglas Fuchs.
Redding Police To Serve Food at Rancho Alegre
Redding's finest will become waiters on Wednesday, as members of the department will be serving food at Rancho Alegre A from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Patrons will then tip cops and the proceeds generated will be donated to Connecticut's chapter of the Special Olympics.

Boy Scouts Host Annual Scout Skills Competition
Patrols of Scouts competed on Saturday in eleven different basic skills events. Some of these events were rifle shooting, orienteering, knot tying, plant and animal identification, and team building exercises.
