Greenbrier County Man Found Dead in Fayette County
Police say the man was shot several times. SPRINGDALE- -- Fayette County Sheriff's Deputies said Clarence Edward Stroud, 50, of Rainelle was found dead Monday evening in the Springdale area.

I knew CE years ago when living in WVA. He was quiet, kind, and had a good heart. My prayers go out to CE's family, Janette Guyer and family, and I hope they find the $^^&* that did this horrible thing.

i've known c.e.he for many years. he worked with my husband on the railroad. he was always joking and happy whenever you talked to him. he was a good person and cared for others. no words can describe what his family and friends and co-workers must feel now. i hope they find the person that did this and the sooner the better. take care and God bless his family and keep them in our prayers and thoughts.

C.E.'s brother is BillBob. not sure if he is a teacher. this is such a tragedy. C.E. was a wonderful person and a great mentor to our children. he will be sadly missed. pray for his family and hope they catch whoever did this and bring them to justice. they deserve it.

C.E. will be greatly missed by the community and friends. This was ahorrible tragidy they will catch the murder who did this, they need to be brought to justice. I dont always believe in the death penilty but this is one time it needs too be no one deserves their life to be cut short. Sorry for your loss Jeanett & boys , family love and prayers for all of you GOD will be with you through this .

It is hardest to accept when it makes no sense. I am so sorry for all the families involved and have had them in my prayers sense I heard. I pray that God puts his arms arround them and comforts them as only he can. I wish there was more I could do.

I'm Bill Bob's daughter and I would like to say thank you for all the prayers and comments..... We are getting along as best we can and appreciate all the support. And I have to say that C.E.'s name was Clarence Edgar not Clarence Edward thus the reason he went by C.E. But thanks again to everyone for their thoughts and prayers

This is why we need the death penalty back. To kill someone over a treestand is pure stupidity.

Just to let everyone know I have heard the same rumors and I can tell you the rumors are not true. Its a shame that people have to make things up and make a terrible situation worse. Whoever did this will be brought to justice. It will eventually come out who did it and be put in the paper.
