Train hits car near Tiskilwa

The Bureau County Sheriff's Department responded to a report of a train hitting a car east of Tiskilwa at 6:38 p.m. June 4. According to the sheriff's department, Jeremy W. Newbury, 22, of Putnam was crossing the railroad tracks near 2050 East Street and 1030 North Avenue when his vehicle was struck by a train on the passenger side door.
