This 85-foot blue spruce from Arizona's Apache Sitgreaves National Forest that will serve as the Capitol Christmas tree in Washington, D.C. The 7,000-pound tree that is taller than a seven-story building.

BIG CHINO: Prescott Valley waiting on Prescott to make payments

Bill Kauppi, management service director for Prescott Valley, showed four detailed invoices that his office has sent to Prescott's Big Chino project manager, Jim Holt, over the past year. The bills state payments are due within a month.

Bears' win over PHS a factor in playoff hunt

It was opposite sides of a rivalry game.

Deputies arrest man after chase in Dewey-Humboldt
DEWEY-HUMBOLDT - Yavapai County Sheriff's deputies arrested an armed man Saturday afternoon after he allegedly threatened neighbors and led deputies on a chase. Deputies responded to a reported family fight. Before reaching the location, the girlfriend of Bruce Burger, 46, warned deputies that the suspect was distraught and armed with a rifle inside the home.

Man faces charges for assault with stun gun at Denny's
PRESCOTT VALLEY - Police arrested a 20-year-old Phoenix man on suspicion of assault Sunday morning after he allegedly stunned a man in the head with a stun gun. The incident apparently occurred after the suspect, Nicholas McCracken, got into a fight with a 30-year-old Prescott Valley man in the parking lot of the Denny's restaurant.

Big Chino lobbyist replaces PR firm

Mitch Menlove, a lobbyist with offices in Phoenix and Washington, D.C., confirmed that he replaced subcontractor Policy Development Group with Rose & Allyn Public Relations, both of Phoenix.
