U.S. Congressman Mike Ross of Prescott will host a conference call with reporters on today's announcement by the Blue Dog Coalition to endorse Clark Hall for Congress in Arkansas's First Congressional District.

The Oklahoma Army National Guard says funeral services for a soldier killed in Afghanistan will be held in Arkansas.

U.S. Congressman Mike Ross of Prescott announced that U.S. Department of Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack has appointed Aubra Hayes Anthony, Jr., of El Dorado, to the first national Softwood Lumber Board as a representative for the South region.

Sen. Gene Jeffress of Louann is the first Democrat to announce for the seat being vacated by incumbent Democrat Mike Ross of Prescott, who announced in July he would not seek re-election to a seventh term.

"It was wonderful to see all the people from the community, other churches and our Jewish brothers and sisters come out to help this church celebrate a new beginning in a 259-year-old ministry," Andrus said.
