it says in the article that she lied about her age and they are not charging the young man because they are not sure that his intent was sexual in taking her to ohio.

in Ky the age is 16 for sexual consient. Now were he is 18 I dont know how that factors in.

Even with the age of consent being 16, isn't there something to do with crossing state lines with a minor? Sixteen may be the age of consent, but it still makes her a minor. The fact that she lied doesn't hold up in court. If a 13-year-old looks 20, and a 30-year-old has sex with her, the guy is still going to prison. I realize this guy is barely an adult, but that isn't a good excuse either.

maybe her parents just dont want to put her through a trial, you can see on here what kind of ridicule she is going to have to put up with, and maybe the cops are just being nice to that boy, and we dont know if they had sex or not
