Did Booth die in the barn? DNA may have the answer
“It's one thing if historians want to disagree with us, but it's hubris to say that it's impossible (we're) right. What kind of historian is that?”
Sometime after 2 a.m. on a cool, cloudy Wednesday, a group of detectives and blue-clad troopers cornered a murderous fugitive in a tobacco barn on the Garrett family farm near Port Royal, Va. via Lexington Herald-Leader

Thank you for carrying this story about my team's efforts to finally get the truth--whatever the truth is--about what really happened to John Wilkes Booth.

Based on a show I saw I don't believe it was Booth who died outside of that barn after being shot in the neck which left him unable to speak as he lay there dying, I believe is was his double. And Booth went on to live else where and I'm sure you know the rest of the story... It's a very interesting subject and outlaws always seem to be glorified by many and its deemed a better story if the outlaw gets away. And then there is the other side who see him as a man who killed the P.O.T.U.S.(President of the United States)and hope justice was served and he was killed for it.
