A 61-year-old Howard woman was transported to the Mount Nittany Medical Center and treated for a head injury following an alcohol-related, single-vehicle accident at 2:25 a.m. Friday along state Route 3042 in Worth Township.

Janice Marie Wyland, 61, of Howard, lost control of her vehicle on state Route 3042 east of state Route 3040 after a deer ran onto the roadway at 2:25 a.m. Her car struck the guardrail and came to rest against a barrier.
