There's plenty to do in and around town on any given weekend, but here are a few local events that caught our attention.

There's a new restaurant in town, specializing in burgers and wraps. The decor is reminiscent of an Ed Hardy t-shirt, with a logo of blazing orange flames and gold lettering.

Ian Sharkey, 24, of Port Jefferson Station, was arrested Jan. 12 at about 5:51 p.m. and charged with two counts of petty larceny.

The Brookhaven Chambers of Commerce Coalition is offering a $1,000 scholarship. Last week the BCCC officially announced their Pasquale DeAngelis Scholarship, which is offered to any Town of Brookhaven 2012 graduating high school senior continuing their education in business-college or trade school.
