Westchester briefs: Rye film shoot, Yonkers diabetes walk
<![CDATA[RYE - Warner Bros. will be shooting the movie "This is Where I Leave You" in the central business district Sunday and June 23. Production crews will park vehicles in Car Park 4, the lot behind Purchase Street along Library Lane. They also will park along Theodore Fremd Avenue Sunday and Mead Place on June 23, Rye police said. Tina Fey, Jane Fonda and Jason Bateman are reportedly starring in the movie based on Jonathan Tropper's 2009 novel. Another scene was filmed last month in the parking lot of Congregation KTI in Port Chester, where the village lent one of its firetrucks for the shoot. YONKERS - Hundreds of people are expected to participate in the annual Step Out: Walk to Stop Diabetes on Sept. 28 to raise money for the American Diabetes Association in Tibbetts Brook Park, 355 Midland Ave. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m.; the walk starts at 10 a.m. This year's two-mile route follows paved trails to a finish line at the park's Health & Wellness Pavilion. The event will also feature free health screenings and family entertainment.
