COLUMBUS - A Pomeroy man was convicted of six federal charges including felony murder Friday morning and now faces life in prison.

A West Virginia couple got an unexpected souvenir from the demolition of the Pomeroy Mason Bridge when a piece of it landed in their spare bedroom.

After nearly a week of weather-related delays, the center span of the old Pomeroy Mason Bridge was detonated with explosives and sank into the Ohio River in front of hundreds of onlookers Tuesday morning.

A bridge fell into the Ohio River Tuesday morning, right on schedule. The 81-year-old structure, that connects Pomeroy, Ohio to Mason, West Virginia, was imploded Tuesday.
