May 15, 1885 from The Weekly Missoulian: Flathead reservation: We are informed that a council was held recently by the Indians of the Flathead reservation and it was intimated to Major Ronan that the Indians utterly opposed to having white men married to half breeds or squaws and make homes on the reserve, and the agent will hereafter see that the ...
