As promised, I'm pickicking up the story this week about the Troutman murder. Jesse's funeral was held at Pollard on the evening of January 2, 1905, and interment was in the Pollard Cemetery.

I have been browsing through another old volume of The Brewton Standard. I ran across a good little story that appeared on March 18, 1976.
Thirty-five small-breed dogs were rescued from a home in Pollard Monday after the Humane Society of Escambia County received a complaint about the conditions in which they were living.
