A 27-year-old Appanoose County man accused of third degree sexual abuse, a class C felony for an April incident in Wayne County, pleaded guilty to and was sentenced for a lesser charge on Tuesday, Sept.

Community building habitat-style home
The first of what is hoped to be many is taking shape in northern Centerville. Pastor of the Plano Christian Church, David Welch, said a group called Appanoose Community Homes began construction on a house at 1228 N. Park one-and-one-half months ago.

Benefit to be held for Mario Macias

Petitions against same-sex marriage
Area residents responded in person Monday morning and came to the Appanoose County Courthouse as several pastors delivered petitions to the county recorder asking her to not grant same-sex marriage licenses.
Traveling trailer group to visit Appanoose County
This Friday a group of Airstream trailers from the North Iowa and Nebraska Units will rendezvous at the Ivan and Jo Curtis farm for a fun-filled rally around Appanoose County.
