Fire claims Calico Rock chef

Full story: Baxter Bulletin

CALICO ROCK - Downtown Calico Rock was oddly silent Tuesday. Three buildings - Don Quixote's restaurant, the chamber of commerce and the artisan's cooperative - displayed signs saying they were closed due to a family emergency.

My sincere condolences to the Gushue Family for the horrible and tragic loss of their son, Merideth Thomas Tomlinson, our thoughts and prayers are with you during your time of grief and re-adjustment.
How horrible that Gloriann and her family would have to face yet another investigation after just a few years earlier, an earlier fire destroyed their family home. A disaster of this magnitude once would be far more than some can endure however, a second devastating house fire and the loss of your beloved son would be far worse than any of us can imagine.

Downtown Calico Rock was oddly silent Tuesday. Three buildings ... Only thing Baxter Bulliten can write about. Every time I been thru that town, almost every old building business was closed.
Interested in eating at Don Quixote's, never seen it open. Got the impression it was for special party's.

Too bad, so sad for Gloria, boo hoo???? Seriously?? Her son is dead, and that's the kind of compassion you show. You should be ashamed of yourself.

Turn about is fair game, just ask Gloria about compassion and shame after the way that she has treated others here. Do the words Compassion and Shame even exist in her vocabulary? How about adding to that honesty, honor, and truth.
A son has been lost, a restaurant has been closed and, an easy out for a person that has negatively affected so many lives here in Calico Rock. Would you like a list starting from (A)ir conditioning to (W)aitress?
I will apologize to her and make an amends when she does the same towards all those that she has hurt and their families.

Shame on you for not defending truth, honesty, and the working people of Calico Rock, Shame on you for defending one persons feelings over the many.

Its easy to see that your so filled with hate that Mrs G must have really affected you .
I'd suggest that you get some psychological counselling to help you work through your obsession with Mrs G .
Talking with a minister might also help as its quite obvious that there's no true Christian love in your heart either !
Or are you an atheist ?

It is very clear that you are Mrs G or you have never had any dealings with her. And what minister would you have me see, Dale Ivy? If you are not Mrs G, I highly recomend you do a little more research before judging me. She is a piece of work. Almost like joey from roscoes. I think they went to the same school.

You sound like all the other dumb hicks in this hell hole. I can not wait to see the day when more of us move in and run you morons out of town. Especially you goofy looking hillbillies with those mangy looking beards, you all look like muppets. The bad thing is most of you will never see this because you can't read.

Way to go , I know what she's like and I know what dale is like also.

That being said someone is playing games using others sign in names.

You will know comments by OH_MY are by OH_MY because they will not contain comments about hill-billies or the like , they will only be my honest opinion .

And as for a minister , find anyone you like that can help you to rid yourself of the hate your carrying .

Another word for you atheist haters I love so-called
hill-billies with long beards. They know how to do it missionary style and I can feel their Christian love for days after I have had one of them.

Sometime I have fantasies about dale its true, becoming his first lady and riding on the back of his bike. That being said, I need to get rid of his old lady first, judgmental hag that she is.

Mrs G. has taught me well and I love her for her Christian guidance and for the great influence that she had had on my life. I have truly learned how to treat people that are beneath me.

Once again my word to you is that your really need to seek counseling from a DR. or a minister, or at least get laid by a hill-billie. It will change your life forever and you will find the love of Christ that you need so much as I have.

I am going to call the police on you delusional people if you dont stop using my sign on name.

You are truly sick individual. You sound like the same perv and bitch that run the history museum and visitors center.

I would complain to the newspaper but they are good for nothing too.

I am going to pray that you find Jesus and have love in your heart for all before it is too late. At least see a psychologist for all of your personal problems.

I was so sorry to hear about Tommy's passing as well, he was a nice guy.

As far as his mother is concerned, I am sure she consulted with a therapist and is over it by now. I have seen by the media that she has closed her restaurant and has started a new career working for the Visitors Center of Calico Rock. How sad for Calico Rock!

I only hope that she shows more courtesy to visitors than she has to the people that actually live here and those that have had to deal with her and in her "professional" manner.

So sorry that Tommy had to go that way but, "to bad so sad" for her that has also made people suffer.

and life goes on for some.

Daily Horoscope for June 1

Libra

Feeling impatient? There's a lot you want to achieve this morning, so don't hang around. Venus is working for you, so get as much done as possible, because later in the day the Moon slinks into Scorpio, and you won't be very pleased if things get in your way. If you're faced with a logistics problem, the best way to solve it may be to throw money at it, but only if you've got the funds to begin with.
