At least Thune isn't completely stupid other than blindly following the Republican line.
Time the Republicans moved back to middle america and Thune is a possibility to do that. If he can see the writing on the wall.

Some members of the GOP are throwing around Republican Senator John Thune 's name as a potential presidential candidate in 2012.
