Dublin can have him back for all I care. Tim did nothing of merit that I can see in Pickerington. Try getting someone to come out and investigate a run down property in Pickerington. You'll die of old age before that happens. Tim hired some old fool as the Code Enforecement officer and the guy never leaves City Hall! Take a drive around town and see the shambles of houses for yourself. Now I'm hearing that several of his staff was being investigated for "inappropriate behavior" while at work and Tim did nothing about it. So long Tim... don't come back.

Couldn't agree more although I seriously doubt property maintenance was the reason for his dismissal. I would think that would fall onto the "old fool code cnforcement officer" or his "boss". I would like to point out that this isn't just lawn maintenance or boat/camper storage. This is about serious health hazards and properties that should be, in my opinion, condemned.

I live in Pickerington and chose to raise my family here. I was raaised in Bexley and wish I would have stayed there..I thought the politics due to OLD money was bad in Bexley..Now I welcome it compared to the NEW money in Pickerington...There are way more snobs in this small village then in Bexley...I graduated with the Schottinsteins, O'Neils (O'neil sporting goods and also owns Hyatt) the Wolfes (own Cols Dispatch) and on and on and on...these people hold themselves in Class..Pickerington snobs act like they live in trailor parks and they've got the only double wide...Pickerington..you will never, NEVER, be like Bexley, Dublin, Or Powell..you just don't know how to act or keeps your politics at bay...I hope that Tim sues the crap out of this city..what in the hell is the Mayor doing?? Why won't he go out and check these properties? Too busy playing footsie under the desk with his Secretary?

First lets think about this. If anyone thinks 4 members of City council and the mayor would let Mr Hansley go over two code enforcement issues I have some oceanfront property in Montana to sell you. Come on, Jeff Fix? What has he done but try to sell the city down the road time and time again. Just pull up the minutes of any committee he has sat on or the minutes of Council meetings and see for yourself. Jeff needed to get his name in print and try to look like the Knight in shining armour before the election. It will all come out in the wash.

Arrivisite mean someone who has or think they have money. But don't have class or enough intelligence to pull off.

Rhonda... you're an idiot and I hope you move back to Bexley. It's not the Mayor's job to do code enforement, it is the job of those that work under the city manager. But by your rational, if Tim's given a pass on his job duties, than what he is being paid for? Please move out of Pickerington.

Please don't drink the Fix kool-aid, he IS grandstanding for the election, its the only thing he has to offer. Jeff Tax (Fix) and Christie Hammond both still very much want to double our income tax. Hansley couldn't wait to get his hands on it. They are about their own power, not serving the residents. I certainly hope other residents wise up like I have about Jeff Tax (Fix) and Christie Hammond. The sky in our world is now clearing. We can see right through all of these out of town comments coming in favor of Hansley. He sure has worked at enough places and he is the "bureaucrats best friend".

City Resident wrote: Fix is right...seems like Hansley's firing had little to do with his performance. Not very just if you ask me! Interesting that the Mayor had the deciding vote. Sounds like the Mayor actually had a personal issue with Hansley and used his position to arrange for Hansley's dismissal. Sounds fishy and I hope City Council will work to rectify the situation. Do we need a Mayor who puts personal agendas ahead of the needs of the City?! Why is it that no one who voted for his firing will reveal the actual details/reasons behind the dismissal? Hmmmm... If you had READ the article you would have seen where Wisniewski said "There were definitely some people who were upset about treatment by staff and responsiveness ...". There's definately more to the story. The Mayor only voted because he had to due to the City Charter, not because of some 'personal' reason. Starting your post with "Fix is right" doesn't help your case.

The watcher wrote: Executive session is another term for not for you to know, back door politics. Council hired him, council hired him at the pay rate he received. The council and mayor work for you and answer to you the people. If he was doing a bad job we need to know that, and if he was doing a good job we need to know. This back door executive session is exactly how those politications make it to the top and no one knew what he/she was really about. An employer has the right to know you credit score, have a back ground check, and know why you were fired at your last job. The council and Mayor are hired by the people, work for the people and are paid by the people. The city workers are paid by the people. We the People have the right to know. If you lived here in Pickerington instead of Columbus you would know. Hansley has let the code enforcement officer let this city run down badly because he will not WORK. There are all kinds of illegal signs nailed onto telephone poles, in public right of ways (which is also illegal) and there is a very illegal food trailer selling food on Milnor road that has no permits, is in someone's driveway, has no hand washing or sanitary facilities, is zoned residential, etc. and has been doing this for at least a year even though there have been many complaints. This is jeopardizing public safety. The city cannot let this continue. This and many other things like this are going on since Hansley was hired. The mayor and competent council members wants these things corrected for the safety and benefit of all residents and their property values. Hansley continually refuses to do anything about it and now cries that he is being "micro-managed". Don't believe it, he should have been fired long ago. GOOD RIDDANCE.

Let us not forget Councilman Keith Smith. He too is working at badmouthing the Mayor and the Majority of Council. He just chooses to work through uninformed citizens. People - when have you ever hear of a prominate member of any organization being fired unjustly? There is more to it than is being shared at this time from my standpoint. Why doesn't everyone shut up and listen. You might just hear the realism knocking at your doors!

I do know that we have issues with some folk we have voted into council and we have the opportunity to change that! I want a citizen who cares about this city to be on council, not a politician that has his own interest (and the interests of his council cronies) in mind. SMITH & BARLETTA - my votes for council.

Hey GetReal, As far as the signs, I agree. However, the area at 256 & Tussing is Violet Township. Refugee Road & 256 is City. People in Pickerington need to understand that the City of Pickerington only governs City of Pickerington boundaries--over half of the people in the Pickerington area and Pickerington School District are actually in Violet Township--which is governed by the Township Trustees. I also would not be surprised if the food trailer is also in the Township. Check the map: http://www.co.fairfield.oh.us/rpc/images/Viol...
