A Tilton woman was injured Tuesday morning when her car struck the rear of another that had slowed in traffic.

A former Douglas County sheriff's deputy accused of inappropriate sexual contact with a woman in Tuscola has been fined $2,500. On Wednesday, Judge Dan Flannell fined Russell "Rusty" Stephens, 65, who listed an address in rural Pesotum.

A 39-year-old Pesotum woman was ticketed after the car she was driving ran into a tractor on U.S. 45 near Pesotum on Tuesday.

A Sidell man was taken to Provena Covenant Medical Center, Urbana, Monday morning after his car went off Interstate 57 about 2 miles north of the Pesotum exit, Illinois State Police said.
