Ranchers Protest Doubling Of Grazer Rates
Local ranchers told the Montana Department of Natural Resources and Conservation at a public hearing at Glasgow High School last Wednesday that the proposed raise in the price of grazing leases on state lands is unfair and based on a flawed comparison of state rates and private leases.
The Opheim 100th Anniversary and All-School Reunion Committee have been busy putting the final touches on the activities for their celebration on July 1-3. Their final meeting before the reunion will be held on Tuesday, June 28, at 3 p.m. at The Mint Bar.
Superintendent shuffle: Many area school leaders switching jobs
Many of Montana's school superintendents are on the move this week - either moving up to bigger school districts, moving around the state or out of state, or moving into retirement.
