Peculiar voters turn down tax levy, fuel tax increase

By Ben Felder, The Star HeraldPeculiar voters rejected two ballot issues , one requested a tax levy increase and the other a fuel tax increase.Question 1, which asked for a 20-cent increase to the city's tax levy per $100 of assessed valuation, failed by a 73-percent rejection by voters.
