Report: Newtown motive remains a mystery
Gunman Adam Lanza acted alone and didn't conspire with anyone when he killed his mother, Nancy, in their Sandy Hook home Dec. 14 and then slaughtered 26 children and educators at Sandy Hook Elementary School, a Connecticut State Police report released Monday said.

Poughkeepsie jumps to Section 9
Poughkeepsie High School's new home for sports is Section 9. The athletic teams at the city's high school will begin competing in Section 9 and its Mid-Hudson Athletic League in 2014-15 after the Section 9 Athletic Council approved the Pioneers' entry into its ranks unanimously 15-0 on Tuesday.
