A woman handed over her newborn baby boy to firefighters Wednesday under California's "Safely Surrendered Baby Law." The infant, who appeared to be only minutes old when surrendered, was hospitalized in serious condition but was expected to survive, Pasadena Fire Department spokeswoman Lisa Derderian said.
