A gunman who surrendered to police in the shooting of his girlfriend in Parkville has been charged with attempted first-degree murder and using a handgun in a violent crime.

Baltimore County police said that after a brief search, they were able to arrest a man who allegedly tried to kill his girlfriend Tuesday morning, causing two schools to be placed on lockdown.
