Herndon narrowly defeats Watts
Two of three incumbent Robeson County commissioners won their Democratic primary races Tuesday, while Lennis Watts - who replaced the late Luther "Bill" Herndon on the county board in January - was narrowly defeated in a three-way race by Herndon's grandson, Lance.

A St. Pauls man was arrested early Wednesday morning during a traffic stop and charged with shooting into a van in Parkton and attempted robbery, according to sheriff's Sgt.
