Kittens and cats find homes with low-cost adoptions

The Southeast Area Animal Control and Authority are deep into the "cat days of summer." Warm days mean breeding season for cats , officials said, and that means the shelter is bursting at the seams.

Please try to find it in your heart and wallet to adopt a pet from any area shelter. I have so far taken in three cats, one from Downey and two feral kittens from the streets, and they are the best companions (and no more fruit rats in the neighborhood!). I may just go to Downey and find another!

What happens to the wild cats that are turned in? The ones that do not allow humans near them .Are the destroyed?
