A Paonia man was arrested Monday night on suspicion of shooting his friend with a shotgun during an alcohol-fueled altercation, according to the Delta County Sheriff's Department.

Grand Junction, Colo. --There is a developing story out of Delta County. We are getting unconfirmed reports that there was a shooting late Monday night in Paonia.

Survivors include his wife, Roberta; three sons, John of Paonia, Larry of Las Vegas and Terry of Elk Grove, Calif.; one daughter, Christine Potter of Paonia; one half-brother, Robert Branch of Rogue River, Ore.; seven grandchildren; and one great-granchild.
