John Gastaldo Rumble strips have been installed on the double yellow line going up South Grade Road on Palomar Mountain Authorities hope the strips will reduce accidents.

With yesterday's blustery storm out of the way, calm, clear and cool conditions should be the region's Christmas present.

While the bulk of the weekend storm has passed, there might be some sprinkles here and there around San Diego County Sunday, a National Weather Service Meteorologist said.

" The second storm of the week has only lightly brushed the county, but a third storm expected late Saturday should be a more direct hit, according to the National Weather Service.

In 2008, Palomar Mountain's public school closed. The void is now being filled by the Light and Life Palomar School, which is held in a donated home.
