A battle over spending costs and government priorities played out in Fluvanna last week when the Board of Supervisors made dramatic last-minute budget cuts, slashing funding for schools and services for senior citizens.

School will soon be out for summer and children will need something to keep them busy-- preferably something out from underfoot.

Focus on Fluvanna's Future , a grassroots organization created in response to the recent budget passed by the Fluvanna County Board of Supervisors, will hold a rally Wednesday immediately preceding the BOS meeting at Central Elementary School in Palmyra.
