The Rev. Mark E. Narum, Prairie Lutheran Parish, was elected June 7 to a six-year term as bishop of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America Western North Dakota Synod.

The Rev. Mark Narum of Stanley is the new bishop of the Western North Dakota Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol reported a pair of accidents over the weekend. At 2 a.m. on Friday, 24-year-old Joshua Uran of Palermo, N.D., was injured when he lost control of his vehicle on a gravel road. via Williston Daily Herald
