Single-vehicle rollover sends Ovett man to hospital

At approximately 1:15 p.m. volunteer medical first responders and rescue units from Moselle and Ovett VFDs responded to the scene where a small white Chevrolet pickup, driven by Dustin Broadway of Ovett, had left the roadway striking a culvert and rolling over several times, totaling the vehicle.

An unidentified man was injured in this two-vehicle accident about 7 a.m. Wednesday on Lower Myrick Road in Jones County.

Thanksgiving fire destroys Jones County home

The fire occurred at around 2 a.m. at a home in 3100 block of Augusta Road. Firefighters from Union Moselle and Ovett responded and found the home completely engulfed in flames.
