A Dawson County man who killed two women died Saturday at the Nebraska State Penitentiary in Lincoln.

In October, Union Pacific Railroad loaded 894 coal trains in the southern Powder River Basin compared with 1,135 trains in October 2008.

Thirty-nine coal cars tipped over early Saturday morning in Dawson County. Union Pacific officials reported that the derailment occurred at 12:13 a.m. between Lexington and Overton.

All rail lines are open at the site where an eastbound Union Pacific coal train derailed in central Nebraska.

A one-vehicle rollover accident on Interstate-80 Wednesday afternoon resulted in minor injuries for a Lexington man and more serious injuries for a 13 year old girl.
