A 43-year-old Ottertail man was injured after crashing his pick-up truck north of Deer Creek on Friday.

The retirement of Republican State Rep. Mark Murdock, who represents the eastern half of Otter Tail County, certainly is unfortunate for his supporters.

George was born on Feb. 17, 1921, at home in Gorman Township in rural Perham. His parents were the late Henry August and Alice Leona Mattfeld.

A bike path through the city of Ottertail once seemed like a "done deal," according to many people.
